Sarah Gaddes Hutchinson was born in Gateshead, County of Durham, England on 12 June 1874. She married John Henry Devereux at Wickham, New South Wales, on 8 March 1899. . Her daughter, Ethel Mary Devereux married Percy Bush at Newcastle, NSW on 5 June 1926.
